Seeing in 3D

How do we see in 3D?

3D vision, also known as stereo vision or stereopsis, describes the sensation of depth from combining two slightly different pictures seen in each eye into one 3D image. When the eyes don't work together to make this 3D image, it is known as stereo blindness.

Does your world look a little flat?

Patients with stereo blindness can gain the ability to see in three dimensions by undergoing a course of optometric vision therapy, which is prescribed and directed by a behavioral optometrist. Treatment duration will depend upon the particular patient's condition and associated factors.

Locate a Doctor in your area who is experienced and knowledgeable in diagnosing and treating 3D and stereo vision problems.
