Support Vision Awareness
Share |

The College of Optometrists in Vision Development and its members are committed to furthering research and promoting awareness of behavioral and developmental optometry.

Our primary focus is on the link between vision and learning, and how undiagnosed vision problems can cause children to struggle in school. Vision therapy can effectively treat vision problems that interfere with a child's ability to learn.

To be successful, we need your support. If you have already made a contribution or pledge, thank you. Please consider making an additional contribution now or extending your pledge. If you haven’t yet made a commitment to support the program, please consider doing so now. You can have your contribution charged monthly to your credit card or make a single contribution now.

Making Vision Therapy Visible Campaign
The Making Vision Therapy Visible Campaign helps COVD promote optometric vision therapy to the public, within the profession, and to the schools and colleges of optometry. Our August is National Children's Vision & Learning Month, the COVD Tour de Optometry, our press releases, and our social networking are all funded by donations to this fund. All monies donated to this fund are used to promote optometric vision therapy.

President's Research Fund
The COVD President's Research Fund supports grants for research related to oculomotor, binocular vision, visual information processing and learning-related vision problems and vision therapy. Monies donated to this fund are put in our COVD Research Fund and the interest generated by the fund is used to fund research. Grants can be used to initiate new research or support continuing active research programs.

Wold SAFE Fund
Donations made to the Wold SAFE Fund are used to support optometric student and resident travel to the COVD Annual Meeting. Students and residents represent the future of optometry. Your donation to this fund shows your dedication to our students and residents and to the future of optometric vision therapy and developmental optometry.

BSK-COVD Research Fund
The BSK-COVD Research Fund was developed to provide support for optometric faculty research and/or optometric resident research in binocular vision and/or visual performance issues.

COVD is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. 100% of your contribution is considered a charitable donation.
